I am stunned.... The book is even better than I had imagined..! It is an opportunity to view again all of the stories from "Countdown" that I enjoyed many years ago.. The quality of the book, and the clarity of the printed matter is outstanding. What more can I say..? Thank you, Anderson Entertainment.... For producing this wonderful piece of memorabilia.. I am now anxious to obtain the second installment as soon as I can afford the postage to Tasmania..
Really pleased with the UFO Anthology Vol 1. Never thought I’d see these strips again. But wow, here they are in all their glory 50 years later. Well presented and magnificently reproduced. I was reading the strip before the tv series was screened on Granada TV. Well done to all involved for this wonderful collection. I have already pre-ordered Vol 2, and eagerly await its publication. Gerry Anderson shows have been part of my viewing since Supercar launched way back in the day. Never too old for anything Anderson .
Book is beautiful, in quality and design. The extras and production values easily make this book well worth the price. Highly recommended for any fan of UFO. Purchase process was quick and seamless. Could not have been easier.
I got this book because I missed the original comic. I loved the series and the book comic strips are great. I've already ordered the second volume of the book. Hope they then reprint captain Scarlett into a book or books. The artwork is great and has some good info inside also. If you like Anderson you'll love this book.
I got the book as a present, and was really pleasantly surprised with it. The book is incredibly well made and looks gorgeous in the hands and on the shelf, and the features that are included around the comics are very interesting and well written. The comics themselves range from very accurate to the show and feeling like they could have easily been episodes to being wildly outside of UFO's format, but that for me is the joy of contemporary spin off media. I very much look forward to the second volume, and I hope that after it we might see collections of the comics from other Anderson shows that were part of Countdown, which have not been included in the TV21 reprint collections.
