Big Chief's Thunderbirds Figures at Spring Fair

One of our intrepid agents made the trip up to Birmingham, England to Spring Fair, held at the NEC.

Big Chief Studios were showcasing their new Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet sixth-scale figures, after recently closing a licensing deal with ITV Studios.

Here are some preview images from their amazing range of replica figures. All are subject to licensor approval, but they're all looking stunning!

The display at Big Chief Studios' stand at Spring Fair showing the Scott Tracy and Captain Scarlet replica figures in front of some beautiful artwork by the wonderful Lee Sullivan.

Big Chief Studios' Scott Tracy replica figure with his pre-approval packaging (more Lee Sullivan). The fabric of the costume is due to change slightly to more closely match the blue of the series. Some changes are also due to be made to the sash to increase accuracy. These guys really know their stuff!

Virgil Tracy and Gordon Tracy from Big Chief Studios

Virgil Tracy and Gordon Tracy were also on display. The finest detail is taken care of, right down to the incredibly accurate International Rescue logo on the sash, and the tiny gun and its accessory barrels. Impressive stuff!

Scott Tracy and Captain Scarlet

Alongside Scott Tracy, Big Chief team were also showcasing their Captain Scarlet replica figure. The team also demonstrated the amazingpose-ability of these figures - even down to the eyes being moveable!

Big Chief have been working with puppet replica maker Chris King, and have even scanned real puppet heads for maximum accuracy - as you can see here in Captain Scarlet's face.

Overall we're really impressed by these beautiful replica figures from Big Chief Studios. Both their Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet figures are stunning, and their love for the shows really shines through. We can't wait to see them go into production later this year. Current estimates suggest that the figures will be available to pre-order in the next few months!

You might also be excited to know that they are working on Thunderbird 2 and FAB1 cutaway models, and the plans for these look fantastic too. Stand by for action!
