United StatesI purchased both the UFO and Space 1999 technical manuals as soon as I saw they were available. I grew up watching both shows and rather enjoyed the idea of having technical manuals for each of the shows. My first set arrived with some damage to the books where it appeared that the shipping box had split open in transit and then repacked by the shipper. I made mention of this in a previous review of the products and someone from Gerry Anderson reached out to me for more information and then shipped me a set which arrived undamaged. Stellar customer service; almost unheard of today where too many sellers forget who you are after the sale. Not only was I amazed by the customer service I received, but the books themselves are absolute works of art. Even if you are someone who had only a passing interest in the shows you'll love these books. The printing and the binding of these books leave the owner with nothing to be disappointed about; I've rarely seen better. The books are also very obviously the work of a team who is passionate about the shows as it is revealed in the rich content of the books. I hope that similar technical manuals are made available for the other Anderson productions.
United KingdomIt's a superb book - I bought one for a friend some time ago, and have wanted my own copy ever since. A great read, and beautiful to look at. It looks great on the shelf with my Joe 90 and Space: 1999 technical manuals. A Spectrum one would be lovely, by the way... All in all, I'm really pleased with this book. It even smells nice. And, like the other two, the odd easter egg pops up now and again. Love it.
