United KingdomAs per the previous release, this was a joy to listen to. The music brought me out in goose bumps nearly every time it played, and the voice actors are doing a fantastic job. The story being adapted this time is not as strong as the last one, but that cannot be attributed to the people who worked on this audiobook, seeing as the original is a long pre-existing work. Some changes have been made from 'Calling Thunderbirds', mostly along the lines of fixing errors/inconsistencies with the show and altering parts that wouldn't slide today, but it was interesting what they chose to keep here and there. The delivery of some of the lines occasionally feels off, but I really, really do not want to be overly critical of the voice actors, because for the most part they are spot on, and translating such iconic screen characters to an audio only outing cannot be an easy task. They are also obviously passionate and enthusiastic about what they are doing, which is evident from their performances and the interviews they give (Genevieve Gaunt clearly loves Penelope, and has done her research). I very much look forward to the future releases in this line. There are some coming up that I haven't been able to get in book form before, so the stories will be completely fresh, which I look forward to immensely. Also to come is 'Ring of Fire', which from what I have read is one of the best of Theydon's novels, which I am definitely looking forward to.

AustraliaI was really pleased to be able to listen to these CDs.. The voice dramatisation was excellent .. Justin T. Lee takes on the late Shane Rimmer's role as Scott Tracey in great form.. Wayne Forrester narrates and handles his characters in great manner too.. In all, the cast do a terrific job.. Lady P and Parker make such a great combination, just as they always did in the TV series. I'm sure that David Graham would agree? This was a fairly fast paced story, with constant peril. The original book kept me reading in one sitting from start to finish and the CDs ran right through to the end as well. Very thrilling stuff. The music was very good, but being an older fan, I would have personally preferred Barry Gray's "original orchestrations". However the music fitted the action very well. I look forward to "Ring of Fire" which I seem to remember as John Jennison's (as John Theydon) next Thunderbirds story in book form.. These are a terrific way to relive the adventures experienced in our youth, greatly enhanced and without the eyestrain for us "older Fans".. "Thank You" to all involved.. .
United KingdomI always enjoy these stories enormously, as they really evoke the feel of the series I remember from repeats during my childhood. The main reason why I bought direct from the Gerry Anderson store rather than through my usual outlet of Big Finish is that I greatly prefer a physical copy on CD to a download, and you exclusively have the CDs. I will keep a close eye on your newsletters for any future releases in this format, and will pre-order immediately to ensure my copy.
