Yesterday I Watched 'The Day After Tomorrow'

Treated myself to TDAT as a birthday gift. Great to see this again. Haven't seen it since it first aired though the theme tune has always been in my head. Well, this is a FAB product beautifully packaged. The extras were interesting and entertaining and the main feature looks great all cleaned up and restored. Classic live action from Gerry Anderson and his team!!!

    One Off Wonder

Was never really aware of this one off pilot episode from the Anderson vaults recently unearthed. One can only hope other hidden treasures may be found within the Anderson universe. Featuring Space 1999 Alan Carter Nick Tate himself and the ever reliable Brian Blessed in the main cast you know your onto a winner. Kind of reminded me of the early Lost In Space episodes in some ways family set out to colonize deep space without the robot of course. Technically it's a marvel to watch with all the Anderson special effect trade marks that have made their other series so popular on full view. Nice behind the scene featurette on the making of the episode which includes contributions from Nick Tate. The commentary is interesting though doesn't really delve into the behind the scenes stuff we would all like to hear. Overall it's defiantly one to accompany your vast Anderson collection the Blu-ray Quality on the disc is eye popping sadly you can't really watch it without expecting to see further episodes and were these might have went. Packaging is first rate and the disc will sit snugly next to your other Anderson titles. Yes it's a bit like Indiana Jones and that holy grail but it does com highly recommended.

    The Day After Tomorrow dvd

Brilliant dvd, shame it never got to be made as a season long and was cancelled after this dvd was made. Very much like space 1999 and Lost in space. As it says it was made to encourage children to take up science lessons either way loved watching this dvd.
