What starts out as a simple rescue mission to save a trapped miner on the moon, soon turns out to be one of International Rescue’s greatest catastrophes. After the Hood takes members of International Rescue hostage during the rescue, a chase across space and an altercation among the asteroids only worsens the situation. With the Hood hijacking Thunderbird Three along with Brains, Lady Penelope and Tin-Tin, it is up to the Tracy brothers to stage a daring rescue in the mountain tops of his hidden lair. But can they rescue Brains before his engineering genius is used for the destructive forces of evil?

Firstly I am eternally grateful to the Gerry Anderson store for lovingly reprinting these John Theydon novels from the sixties because I missed out on all these and always wanted to read them. So far I have all 3 novels in my collection and love them. John certainly captured the essence of Thunderbirds in his writing and you can almost hear the voices of Jeff, Scott and co as you read this novel. As you would expect, its a fun story and would have made a great episode/movie. The service from the store was absolutely brilliant. United KingdomI enjoyed the original book all those years ago but this audiobook breathes new life into it. It's not just someone reading it: it's a full cast of actors bringing it to life. Their voices are spot on for the original voice artists from the tv series. You will not be disappointed!
