Piloted by astronaut Alan Tracy and co-pilot TinTin Kyrano, Thunderbird 3 is a vertically launched, reusable, single stage rocket. Used for space rescue missions as well as maintenance and crew relief of the space station Thunderbird 5.
Powered by chemical rockets for lift off and boost, an ion drive is used for space propulsion and to accelerate Thunderbird 3 to a top speed of 25,000 mph.

Pity you are retiring the AIP Thunderbird models now. Trying to source all of them to collect. Be great to see the Stingray & Terror fish models again from you. Very difficult to find, but I have found on Ebay now to collect. (expensive!) And Fireball XL5 model again would be fantastic to collect. Again I have found on Ebay now.
