The storytelling and artwork are just phenomenal and capture perfectly the style and spirit of the series. United KingdomI enjoyed it because of the character captain scarlet The story could’ve been padded out to show captain black at his nefarious best as his imminent destruction by his creators the mysterons was on the line. Needed the background of how he turned the crew etc delved into more
United KingdomI loved the comic and the amount of detail throughout it. I have looked at the book several times now and each time I notice something different. I just love all the wee extras and the detail of them all.
United KingdomAs a great fan of both classic and new Captain Scarlet I was eagerly awaiting this graphic novel. Sadly I feel that the artwork leaves much to be desired. There is no doubt that it’s an action packed story but all of the charm of the animated characters (and indeed the original puppets) has been lost with the cast looking like scary zombies - especially Scarlet himself. There was so much scope to recreate the feel of of the episodes which in my opinion has been lost in this very adult style of drawing.
United KingdomI bought this in Forbidden Planet in Belfast on Saturday, and read it that night. It's a superb book - great writing, with distinctive and fantastically detailed artwork. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. More please! Unfortunately, as I was queuing at the till to pay for it, four random gentlemen sitting behind a table grabbed my copy and scribbled their names in it! I think they must have been Mysteron agents. I've informed Colonel White, who is assigning his top agent to investigate. Photo attached as evidence. :)
