This very special limited edition features the MK IX Hawk as it was originally painted and delivered to the studio for filming. The original brief from designed Brian Johnson, was as the Hawk was from the same "Fleet" as the Eagle Transporter this should be reflected not only in it's design, but in colour scheme as well. However, shortly before filming of the miniature began, it was decided that the model too closely resembled the Eagle Transporter and was quickly re-painted at the studio in the now distinctive orange livery seen in the final episode.

In celebration of the original design and colourway of this iconic Space:1999 warship in association with Sixteen12 Collectibles The Official Gerry Anderson Store presents this special edition MK IX Hawk Warship.

Amazing Detail - Shipped fast and secure to US

First off, kudos to the Gerry Anderson Store for fast and well packed shipping. The Hawk arrived in about a week and the detail on the model is amazing. I cannot wait to receive the technical manual and vault later this year to read up more on the ship and its design.

I ordered this towards end of February end of March 2021 expecting this to arrive in April. This was to be a belated Christmas/birthday present so hopes were high because there was nothing on the website to say there will be a delay in sending these items out to customers. After April passed I contacted the store via the website chat and was advise late April due to Covid 19 complications. Fine I have no problem that as everywhere has been having problems even medications stuck on the wrong side of the world since March 2020. Anyway end of April passed and contacted again and I think it was June I got, June came and still no item. By this time the people on the website had stopped talking to me which I found rude considering the shop had x amount of money for so months. Anyway I found somewhere that the delivery had been extended to end of July. 1st July it arrived. Now this is part of the review because the shop should have been up front with their customers either as COVID19 read here button (most sites have been doing this since February last year.). There was no notice to say that our products are stuck in transit etc….. Because of this I am marking the service down one star. I was awaiting an item from the states and the seller kept me uptodate with everything such as a part was missing. It was ordered the same time and arrived after the lockdowns started to ease. This was through and Etsy seller. Now to the product. Now it was a surprise to see that the box was marked as X of 1500 worldwide. The item itself is perfect in every detail . This is an item I won’t be opening for sure as it will depreciate the item. The item is coloured as per the prop that arrived the studios ie without its yellow colour. There is an explanation why the item want coloured with yellow livery. Basically as I understood the audience would have been confused if one of the Space 1999 ships started attacking each other and you didn’t know which one had done it. Basically the aliens had copied one of the ships from the Moonbase Alph fleet but made a mistake so it’s livery was yellow instead of white. Can’t trust aliens if they can’t replicate things as they should be. But I agree that the same coloured space ship as moonbase alphas fleet would have been totally confusing especially for the younger audience that watched the programme. This item gets 5*. But is let down by the customer service. So this review I am afraid loses one star.
