Very good, from the packaging to the book.
An excellent weighty hardback book that continues the adventures of the XL5 crew, the whole of space city staff and sundry alien threats. The art work is wonderful, a nostalgic treat. Well worth the asking price. A lovely collectors item.
Very good and quick delivery
This book is big (and heavy) which is great as it allows the excellent artwork the space it deserves. The production values on this are top notch. It really is a beautiful book and well worth getting.
I wanted one specific thing for Christmas (so of course I made sure I bought it myself), the Fireball comic anthology. So, I toddled my butt to Comic Con to support our Anderson team and the awesome amazing Lee Sullivan. I purchased the book, handed it over with firmly closed eyes for signing (I've got Lee and Jamie so well trained now that I was totally confident that they wouldn't troll me with their sharpies) and then gave it to my daughter to wrap up for me and put under the tree. Fast forward to today which has been the first moment of peace I've had to sit down and look at it properly and damn, this thing is beautiful! It's just so gorgeous. Now, much as I love my Thunderbirds , I'm still a Fireball girl at heart and so I've read quite a few of the comic strips over the years thanks to scans of old comics and the like, so of course, I immediately did my duty and flipped until I found the comic that our master artist had produced. I'm not here to give spoilers (because that's mean) but bloody **** it's perfect. I mean, I always knew it would be, but I didn't know HOW perfect. I also didn't know how much I NEEDED this story in my life until it was right there in front of me. Ok, well I kinda did, but I thought that was what FanFic was for, not this beautiful and now CANON work of art. It's a fans dream, it really is. There is no other way to describe it. The attention to detail, the lore, the tiny little nuggets that work as both Easter eggs and just lovely nods. Everything is exactly what I'd dreamt of and more (yes, my boy is freaking gorgeous in it, obvs). Everyone you could wish for is there in this ultimate dream team. Everything and everyone fit together as if they have always been. It feels totally natural, not at all forced or like everyone has been shoehorned in for fan service. This is what can only be described as a love letter to us fans, from a fan. And it shows. In every panel you can see just how much love, attention and effort has been poured into it, even the background scenes are phenomenal. I could go on for hours about this. I went through a range of emotions while reading and the only issue I have now is that I can't read it again for the first time and experience it again. And that makes me sad. So, I just want to say a massive well done to Lee Sullivan , as well as a thank you. Because it's truly wonderful. Seriously, if you have been debating this purchase, do it!
