This second comic anthology follows on from Stingray Comic Anthology Vol. 1: Tales from the Depths and collects thrilling classic and brand new comic strip adventures of the World Aquanaut Security Patrol. Battle Lines also forms the fourth and last major instalment in the Stingray: Deadly Uprising saga. Picking up after the events of Bob Ayres' recent novel, Stingray: Project Orca, the Stingray crew make a last desperate attempt to defend Marineville from Titan's all-out assault.

These new adventures sees Titan increase his efforts to band together underwater races to launch his assault against Marineville, armed with stolen WASP technology! In turn, the Stingray crew is dispatched to assemble what allies they can from other oceanic civilisations, but will these alliances be enough to defend Marineville from Titan's awesome power? The ultimate battle begins now!

Battle Lines also completes your classic Stingray comic collection by gathering together many Stingray comics published between the 1960s and 1990s, many of which are presented here for the first time since their original publication! The anthology opens with Stingray's grand finale from TV21 - Marineville Traitor, the epic 32-issue storyline illustrated by Michael Strand and Jon Davis.

From there, Battle Lines collects Stingray's standalone adventures from the various seasonal specials and extras, the super-sub's continuing batch of adventures from the pages of Countdown in the early 1970s. Also presented in its entirety is the tragic saga of Marina, Girl of the Sea. This stunning underwater fantasy, illustrated by Rab Hamilton and Colin Andrew, tells the definitive story of Marina's life prior to joining the WASPs. Battle Lines also includes Stingray's comic strip adaptations of classic episodes from the 1990s Fleetway Stingray comic and the additional comics from Stingray's run in The Funday Times, the kid's comic supplement within The Sunday Times.

The classic comics are beautifully restored by Rob Hammond and accompanied by several in-depth essays by Fred McNamara, capturing the history of Stingray in comic strip form. The new Deadly Uprising comics are created by a host of celebrated comic creators, including Nick Abadzis (Marvel, DC, 2000 AD), Simon Fraser (2000 AD, Kingsman: The Red Diamond, Roy of the Rovers) James Swallow (Star Trek, Warhammer 40,000, Doctor Who, UFO, Space: 1999, and Lee Sullivan (Doctor Who, Transformers).
