Thunderbird 2 is for many the most iconic of all of Gerry Anderson’s craft. Piloted by Virgil Tracy, Thunderbird 2 is the freighter that carries all of International Rescue’s ingenious heavy engineering equipment. With a maximum flying speed of 5,000 mph and a cruising speed of 2,000 mph, the vehicle is 250 feet long, has a wing span of 180 feet and stands an impressive 60 feet high.
Continuing Anderson Entertainment’s highly anticipated move into collectibles, we are delighted to present this limited production Edition 1. 2024 Thunderbird 2. The finely detailed die-cast scale collectible showcases the legendary craft as depicted in the original Thunderbirds television series. It has been moulded from Zamac metal and ABS plastic using an entirely new tool based on updated 3D designs taken from original studio models, correcting many of the historical discrepancies seen on other products.
Finished with screen accurate decals, this collectible features bespoke dirt paint effects from mission action in homage to the original series models. The craft stands atop a fully sculpted scenic base decorated to match the Tracy Island launch pad.
Thunderbird 2 is secured in foam housing within a deluxe white presentation box which marks the model as part of our premium range. The soft-touch matt finish of the box interior provides a full schematic, specifications and detailed information on the craft. These features, combined with the Certificate of Authenticity, make this Thunderbird 2 a highly sought-after collectors’ item for fans of the series and collectors of iconic science fiction memorabilia alike.

United KingdomAn accurate and good looking model, but it feels too light for a 'die cast'. A heavier resin would make it feel more premium (aligning with the price). Also, the opportunity was missed to make the base more interesting - it could have replicated the Tracy Island launch ramp...
United KingdomI really appreciate the lengths that Anderson entertainment go to for us but this collectable left me a little wanting. In comparison to the previous eagle model there was little detail and little weathering to justify the cost. Maybe there was more to the engineering of it then I realise, would i be without it?,nah! Maybe you could produce some material on the the production of these models so we know what we are paying for. Keep up the good work.!
New ZealandProduct arrived in perfect condition and well packaged. Mum and dad bought this as a Birthday present for me in early March and I must say... Thunderbird 2 looks fabulous! I love the dirt marks to show that Thunderbird 2's been in battle with Mother Nature. It looks like an exact replica, so I was so chuffed when it arrived! I'm glad for the display stand as well. Hopefully we can get more model ships from Thunderbirds and other GA shows/movie's in the future (even a Thunderbird 5 too please - I'd buy it!) Thank you once again Anderson Entertainment!
