Just received my 2 Eagles today...they really look great !!! so happy with them ! Just about the greyish color...not used to see them in that kind of color, but beside that they are really a nice piece to expose on their black stand.
This Eagle model is very finely detailed and is a perfect size for display. And the price is much more affordable than most of the other models available. Personally I don't mind the colour - as others have said it isn't bright white, it's very pale grey (actually it's more of an old white) but it makes the Eagle seem tougher and meaner somehow, more of a working spacecraft than a shiny show piece. After all, with so many crashes and explosions you can't expect the fleet to continue to look sparkling and new. I'm sure the Alphans would reuse parts from salvaged Eagles so I doubt very much that the white would stay so bright over time. I was a bit disappointed that the box had a few corner bumps and scuffs, but the model itself is perfect. I'm so impressed by this Eagle model that I've now ordered the Booster Eagle and have pre ordered the Laboratory Eagle. If Big Chief's 1/6 scale Commander Koenig ever gets made and delivered (it'll be 2 years come November since I pre ordered him) he'll look amazing surrounded by all these Eagles. For me, the Eagles, Cmdr Koenig himself (the great Martin Landau) plus Barry Gray's theme for Series 1 are pretty much the coolest things in Space: 1999.
Thanks to @GerryAndersonTV for the 10 inch Eagle Transporter model delivery. Designed by special effects designer Brian Johnson, it looks amazing and I keep taking photos of it and posting them on Twitter.
