Book had a broken spine.
Fast service. Awesome book.
loved it....read it in one sitting...it's gorgeous..the artwork was so good! Not sorry to have bought it....can't wait for Space 1999 the vault :) the only negative..and it's nothing to do with the book or Fanderson...I ended up paying 30$ of custom fees :( but that often happens with DHL Anyway...if you weren't sure about buying it...give it a try..you won,t be dissapointed Patrick
This manual has been a long-time dream for me to have as I do own the original version. It is chocked full of new information about Moonbase Alpha and its operations both before and after the breakaway event. It is a fantastic read and every page is full of illustrations and the story behind the base and base personnel It is definitely worth the money.
After all these years I was thrilled beyond belief to see a Moonbase Alpha technical manual become available. The construction of the manual is top-notch, the paper stock used is perfect, and I'm still reading it for the information inside of it, but so far that's been exciting as well. I had no idea Professor Bergman invented so much stuff!! With all that being said there are only two things that I think they made a mistake on, and one's been pointed out by one or two other people; instead of an image spreading across two pages with the middle of it being hidden in the seam of the book there's a larger images should probably have been gatefold pages instead. Sometimes one of the worst things in the world is looking at a beautiful image rendered in a book and the entire middle section of it is invisible because it's in the crease of the binding seam of the book itself. The other is there was no side elevation/cutaway of how deep the base goes, showing all the levels and how far underground they go. Think along the lines of Star Trek and the cutaways of starships showing the deck levels. Everything as it is now for the base only shows it/the buildings from above. Outside of these two things, I LOVE THIS MANUAL!
