First Action Bureau is an Anderson spy-fi series created by Jamie Anderson and Nicholas Briggs. Following the success of the initial 120-minute audio adventure the action is back with this prequel written by Richard James and narrated by Genevieve Gaunt.
First Action Bureau exists to protect the Earth fromcriminal elements before they get the chance to act.Using decades of ‘big data’ and globally connectedquantum artificial intelligence, First Action Bureau isable to predict criminal activity before it occurs...
Nero Jones has led a troubled life, but things are about to get a whole lot worse... Press-ganged into joiningFirst Action Bureau, a shadowy organisation set up tocounter terrorist threats, Nero finds herself thrown intoa range of increasingly more exciting missions underthe guidance of the mysterious Nathan Drake. As she learns more about the Bureau, she's hauntedby half-forgotten memories that lead her to questioneverything she knows. Just what is real and what isfake? As she delves deeper into the Bureau's history, she comes to a startling conclusion; nothing is true!
Richard James's association with the worlds of Gerry Anderson began with playing Officer Orrin in Space Precinct. Since then, he has novelised the pilot episode of Space Precinct, Demeter City and written four new adventures for the officers of Precinct 88, Space Precinct: Revisited. His memoir, Space Precinct Unmasked, details his time spent filming Gerry's last live action series. Richard has adapted a lost sit-com script – The Fat of the Land by Gerry Anderson and Ronnie Cass – as a play for the stage and adapted Five Star Five: John Lovell and the Zargon Threat into a novel from the original 1978 feature script by Gerry Anderson and Tony Barwick. Two further novels by Richard complete the Five Star Five trilogy: The Doomsday Device and The Battle for Kestra. Richard has brought the world of Intergalactic Rescue 4 to life in Stellar Patrol, a novelisation based on a treatment by Gerry Anderson. Originally planned as 10 live-action TV episodes in 1975, IGR4 follows the adventures of two teenagers and two robots on board their eponymous spaceship. Aside from his Anderson credentials, Richard has written a Victorian detective series following the fortunes of Detective Inspector Bowman of the Yard.
